Experience the allure of Prison Island, a popular Zanzibar getaway just 30 minutes by boat from Stone Town. Also known as Changuu, the island offers a mix of history, nature, and relaxation. Meet the giant Aldabra tortoises, brought from the Seychelles over a century ago, and walk among these gentle creatures in their sanctuary. Explore the remains of the old prison and former quarantine station, gaining insight into the island’s colonial-era past. After the tour, take time to snorkel in the clear waters, spotting vibrant marine life, or relax on the beach with stunning views of the Indian Ocean. This half-day trip offers a perfect blend of culture, wildlife, and tropical beauty.

Set off to a historical walk through Stone Town, exploring its iconic landmarks, including the Old Market, which opened in 1903 and features distinct sections for fish, meat, vegetables, and fruits, along with a vibrant spice market outside. Visit the House of Wonders (National Museum), Tippu Tip House, the former English Club (Africa House), and stroll through narrow alleys to admire unique doors and intricate wooden balconies. You’ll also discover the Old Fort, Palace Museum, Old Dispensary, the former Slave Market, and other fascinating sites that showcase the rich history and culture of Zanzibar. Then, Take a journey through Zanzibar’s spice plantations, where you'll explore a variety of exotic spices, herbs, and tropical fruit trees. Experience the aroma of black pepper vines, cardamom bushes, cinnamon trees, nutmeg, clove trees, and vanilla vines, among others. Enjoy a refreshing cup of spice tea during the tour and even try climbing a coconut palm with guidance from the local spice boys! The tour also includes a delicious Lunch.
